Hi, welcome to String Revolution. I'm Léan, I live in Dublin with my husband and two little boys, and I am a dangerous stringy subversive.
(If you're feeling generous today, here's my vast crafty wishlist on Amazon.)

Shop

Welcome to the String Revolution shop! It’s not much to look at (but hey, if you buy something, I’ll be able to add to my Web design fund…): I decided up-and-ugly was better than not-up-and-platonically-beautiful-IN-MY-HEAD.

So, what’s for sale? I hear you murmur.

Patterns

Once I receive notification of payment I’ll e-mail your pattern(s) to you within 24 hours.

Help

I’ve made a lot of crafty projects over the past three-plus decades. I know some stuff about getting the damn thing DONE, already (admittedly, yes, much of my knowledge comes under the “learn from your mistakes” heading – but that’s super-effective!). My shiny new service, Get It Done, will help you to finish that project in time for that deadline.

Commissions

If you love my textile art, why not commission me to make something especially for you? I have two suggestions below, but I’m more than willing to discuss any piece you may have in mind. At the moment, I’m taking these “à la carte” commissions exclusively from people I have an existing connection with. (We don’t have to be best mates – online friendship is fine.) So if we don’t know each other yet, but you think you’d like to go that route, please introduce yourself and let’s get talking!

Meanwhile…

Suggestion the First: Treat yourself to one of my Secret Crowns and Capes – custom-made for you, with your personal words or symbols hand-embroidered on them. What will yours say? SR-20101116-3
Boatman by the Oyster, stitched by Léan Suggestion the Second: Immortalise a favourite piece of child art in textile form, with the Stitch My Kid’s Art Commission Service. (I suspect this might actually be the best thing in the world ever.)

Merchandise

There’s also my shop over at Zazzle, where you can buy T-shirts featuring my personal collection of slogans. You can read more about why I created these in this post about wearing slogans and this intemperate rant about children’s clothes.
