Hi, welcome to String Revolution. I'm Léan, I live in Dublin with my husband and two little boys, and I am a dangerous stringy subversive.
My job is to radiate my creative truth, and to help you radiate yours. I create, without exception, every day. I write here when I have something to say.

Privacy Policy

My sibling in string,

When you comment on a post here, the system asks you for an e-mail address. I may use that address to get in touch with you, but I will never share it, or any other personal details you may give me, with anybody else.

When you pay me for things, I never see your credit card details.

Like pretty much all the bloggers I know, I use Google Analytics to keep an occasional eye on traffic to this site. Their terms of service stipulate that I include the following text in my privacy policy:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Inspiring stuff, isn’t it?

For what it’s worth, I can’t think of a circumstance where refusing cookies would prevent you from using any part of String Revolution. So if you’re not inclined to be overseen by Uncle Google, disable his cookies with my blessing!

If you have any further questions about privacy here at String Revolution, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hugs and joy to you,
Léan
